Thank you! I did this with black ink. I like working with ink, it leaves different kind of trace then paint. If you have a lot of ink, it is not transparent (like for example aquarel) but still keeps the light texture, because guache and acrylic are too thick. But ink is also great to mix with water, when it dillutes, you can make many different shades (greyish, bluish, green, yellowish, whatever the base of the ink is). Please have a look: [link]

To learn draw lace what you could do first time is to take a piece of lace with larger pattern and then take thick wide brush with colored water and paint on top of that. When you remove the lace from paper, the patern will be left on the paper.

tadaa! After that, trust me, you will get the idea and improvise flower patterns on your own on any painting!
